The Yost Vises 445 4.5-inch utility combination pipe and bench vise is made from 30,000 PSI cast grey iron with a steel U channel bar, featuring a large anvil work surface, replaceable hardened steel serrated top jaws, and a large pipe capacity permanent serrated pipe jaw. Its technical specifications include a jaw width of 4.5" (11.43 cm), jaw opening of 4" (10.16 cm), throat depth of 2.625" (6.6675 cm), minimum pipe capacity of .125" (0.3175 cm), and maximum pipe capacity of 2" (5.08 cm).
This vise has a 360-degree rotatable swivel base with 2 lockdowns. To use, ensure the vise is securely mounted to the workbench and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the handle counterclockwise, place the item between the serrated jaws, and close the vise by turning the handle clockwise until the item is snug. Avoid over-tightening, as this may damage the item or the vise. When finished, turn the handle counterclockwise to release the item.
